First Home in the UK

My first house took some time in finding it. Researching prices, locations, inspecting the all the houses, and finding a reasonable interest rate. Plus all the paperwork that was involved in it. Setting up appointments to look at houses and appointments for signing the final paperwork.

Going through pages and pages. Everything is detailed in great lengths. Traveling to all the different locations to look at the properties and insides of the houses and any outside buildings. Such as garages, saunas, barns, and any other miscellaneous buildings. My house needed to be out in the township away from town. I needed and wanted privacy.

I did not want those houses that are right next to each other. That had no privacy or land. Plus i needed a place for horses, chickens, and other barn animals. I wanted a small farm with some land for flower gardens and vegetable gardens. A place to grow some food, raise some food. Such as a variety of vegetables, beef, and fresh eggs. I enjoy that type of stuff. Plus its cheaper then the markets and the big then its fresher. Which makes the quality a lot better. So my home has all the basic items to eat. Which keeps costs down. So more money can go towards the house or whatever. Got house that was a fixer upper.

So cost was cheaper.

Now i can make any repairs or do any maintenance myself and make it the way i want it. That makes a big difference in the budget. Plus doing it this way keeps the costs way down. So if i ever want to sell the house.

I can make a bigger profit. Owning a house has a lot of advantages. Compared to renting. Helps with your credit with having a big asset. Saves money by having less monthly expenses usually. Especially if you grow your own food. Just a garden big enough to feed the household. Then its not that time consuming. Along with the farm animals too. So having my house was a really good idea in many ways.

When i go to sell it, the profit will nice to have. Plus having eggs to sell is nice way to keep expenses down for barn expenses. Such as feed for the animals. Feed is the really only expense for the barn. Then that money that is saved goes towards remodeling the house
