Ever since I was a little kid, I have always had a fascination with remodelling my bedroom, as it was the only room in the house that I has free reign over. There is something about switching up the bearings of a space that can make you feel so much more calm inside. I painted my room several to decide which colours were perfect for me at the time– I ended up with lilac purple walls and a black and white striped closet. I was always rearranging the furniture and the posters to get the perfect feeling for my room.
That is a habit that I have carried with me through adulthood. I just love love changing a space up. It’s like a challenge to configure everything in such a way that it is comfortable and inviting, yet also to your specific liking. Now that I have an entire house to rearrange however, it does prove to be more of a challenge bot financially and physically. It takes me a considerably longer amount of time to redecorate and reconfigure a room if I have to invest in it.
So, I have taken to pacing my self and making certain that I have the perfect idea of how I want the room to be before I being purchasing for it. I usually begin with the smaller items so that I can get a real feel for the space before I start actually spending larger amounts. After all, the small details are what make the room complete. I will always do quite a bit of on-line research so that I can get the best prices. I also shop a lot at flea markets and discount stores for the things that can be cheap but still of decent quality.
Finding that perfect accessories for a room can definitely take up some time. I just moved into my house two months ago and I still have only figured out one room. It does also, unfortunately, get to be quite frustrating when things are not in their proper place and nicely configured. But, with the right inspiration and the desire and patience to make your home a comfortable and happy place I believe I will be able to get exactly where I want it to be.
