When it comes to decorating on the cheap, its a great motivator indeed! The less money you have the more and more creative you may become with the things you have around you and home decor is alot about this, using things which you see in places in places which you might not see them. Although we dont want to take you out of your comfort zone nor do we want to preach the delights of Feng Sui and all that jazz, but indeed by incorporating a little less money in your home it is possible to achieve some modern looks.
1. Its minimalistic. Dont spend your money on nit nacks they just clutter up shelves.
2. Think ECO – is it environmentally friendly to bin the old sofa for a new one, or can it be recovered?
3. Keep it clean – Look after your possessions like chairs and table and they will last a life time.
4. Buy it once, but buy it good – If you are buying something new, spend a decent amount of money on the item as items of great quality last a long time.
5. Make do and mend – or rescue what you can – if its not good enough for the house, then maybe a bedroom might suit that chair?
By looking after you furniture you can always depend on the items to last, but if you are more throw away with your fashion then indeed, by being cheap with your purchases you can possibly sell and/ or re purpose the old stuff when fashions and trends chagen and you decide to modernise your home once more.
