Changing the Feel and Tone of a Room
Matching the décor and the features of your room to the colours and the furniture within is possibly the hardest part of interior design to get ‘right’. If your home has a neutral décor then the art, pictures and furniture you position around the room will help set the tone or fell of the area. Using warm colours (reds and oranges can often create a comfy feeling) yet if your walls are white, then greens and yellows are a great way to bring in splashes of colour. Personalised canvases like from Parrot Print Canvas can also be made from your instragram and facebook pictures or simply from pictures on your phone and then printed out to large wall art sized canvases. You can choose whatever images you like or you can even personalise your pictures with Apps or in photoshop or on Instagram before uploading adding effects, shadows, shading, even words and calligraphy. Then the rooms of your home are reflective of your personality and feature some of the most up to date parts of your life, created from your images. Canvas wall art is really easy to print and can be ordered online and delivered to your home or work, many people print pictures of their family and kids but with the help of photoshop and a little imagination can be printed as pop art, landscapes or any kind of picture you upload.
Hanging and Lighting Your Canvas
Once you have your image ready, have selected the room and the place on the wall where it is to be hung its time to have your canvas pictures printed out and ordered to size. Triple or double canvases are a new feature which is becoming popular in décor trends through 2015 but once have selected the space on your wall for your canvas to hang, its just a case of lighting it with an over hung picture frame light (you can get battery powered LED picture frame lights online which simply stick to your wall above your canvas) and/or choosing a well-lit place on your walls to display. Hanging the canvas should be easy as they are very lightweight and come with instructions but, if you are wanting to watch a video here is a good how to guide on hanging a picture level and straight.
Changing times, changing décor.
Family growth, job changes, home moves, life the universe and everything happens overnight and not to mention the idea of keeping up with the Joneses here in the UK, we all from time to time fancy a change and so changing your wall art is easy. Simply take down the canvas and recycle it or save it for later in life. Canvases which come with a high quality varnish or lacquer should last a life time but if you are bored of your old canvas art work, don’t just throw it in the bin. Almost every part of your canvas can be recycled!
Remember that even Picasso reused his canvases so if you are a painter or fancy doing a bit of modern art, simply paint over the image on your canvas with some white matt paint and then start a fresh new drawing on the material.
